So michigan campus just had a shooting in the dorms. People on my local news feed are screaming about this being because there's no god in schools and blah blah mental health and we don't even have any facts aside from shots fired.

I really, truly, hate my state and the amount of ignorance in it.

I love Michigan yet it is concerning the number of people who think unfettered access to all guns isn't a problem... These numerous mass killings are an unique American problem and IMHO NO ONE should be able to privately own a military assault weapon.

If we aren't going to eliminate guns from private ownership then eliminating these assault rifles and large capacity magazines should be a reasonable compromise.

The NRA should be treated as a hostile homegrown threat to the peace and well-being of America.

I am a teacher and have been for many decades. I have seen the rise of "lockdown drills" We had one this week for obvious reasons. I'm hoping we've finally reached a political tipping point but maybe not. The "resident" was actually making sense when he talked to the democrats yesterday. Then he "had dinner with the NRA" now, of course, he's back to the same rightwing stupidity.

November 2018 tick, tick, tick...

Their own religion says that their God is everywhere and all knowing and all powerful. Hey

Sooner or later (if it hasen't already happened) there will be a shooting in a private school. Then what will the religious nuts say? Also, how many of the victims or even the shooters, have a god in their hearts? Ask these people how much they are willing to pay to advance our mental health programs (besides offering stupid prayers)?

These shootings will continue and, hopefully, every one will turn up the heat on the gun industry and it's cowardly, unfeeling lackey, the NRA.

@Tecolote Thank you, I forgot about the church shootings (and a long time ago a bombing). Maybe these god nuts also need a few reminders!
