The problem with these lies the repubs tell their followers is that the followers are so god damned dumb, and will believe this shit. I got into a discussion with my granddaughters other grandmother when we were at the deer lease for Thanksgiving, and this was almost what she tried to tell me! Then her daughter got her two cents in with “Obama tried to take our guns and we rose up and didn’t let that happen”. These people are fucking nuts, and nothing we can say will change their thinking. The propaganda has worked on them.

Same problem with my twin. All attempts to educate have failed. I finally had to put a stop to all political, vaccine and COVID discussions.
She won't talk god with me as she knows I'm a non-believer.
It's great she lives so far away

@silverotter11. It is so difficult too when it is family, because you don’t want to alienate them. I have told both my sons, who are repubs, that I refuse to talk with them about politics period! My younger sons in-laws are so full of the repub hate, and spout all the repub talking points. One even tried to argue with me that the vaccine is not a vaccine! The stupidity of these people is off the charts!
