Sorry folks it’s not coming home! ?.

I sense some enjoyment in this post of yours Marionville

@RobH86 No enjoyment.....honest! Although we have been spared listening to the football pundits talk about it for the next 50 years, They still talk about 1966 like it was yesterday! ?

Did anyone else witness the player calling his wife "an absolute machine"? It was intended as a comment of admiration for her ability to, er, give birth. It made my entire family guffaw as we were watching it!

Surely you mean Ome?

Could be! Croatia won't be a pushover though. It would be nice to see someone high up come over in support as long as it isn't TM.

i could be having a bit of moment here, but i can't work out what you mean by 'TM'

@RobH86 Teresa May.

I don't think it would be appropriate for there to be any official representation by the British government because of the Novichok incidents. In a private capacity though, yes.

@Marionville no evidence that Russia had anything to do with it. Could just as easily have been Porton Down.

Well, who'd of thought it! Semi finals and no Brazil, Germany, Italy or Argentina to contend with. Could be coming home!

Even though I am Scottish, believe it or not I’m pleased they are doing so well. I like Gareth Southgate’s calm , quiet manner. Croatia next and then who knows ?

Croatia's got their Prime Minister out there rooting for them. I doubt that PM May would bring anything other than austerity and angst.

great to hear us being backed by a Scot. If its the other way round and Scotland are there I would genuinely be supporting Scotland and hoping they won it. I may be English, but I am also a proud Brit.

I sincerely hope not, because we'll never hear the end of it.

Posted by HawkeyeNew to this group, thanks for having me :) Thought I would share something that has had my poor wee atheist brain turning for a few days (the article is a few days old).
