I'm just having a rant because I can!

I've just agreed to do a difficult 12 and a half hour shift at work tomorrow, thinking I was helping someone out with a difficulty. It turns out that 3 of us (at least) are putting ourselves out, in my case BIG time, but it's all so that a junior manager can go and watch football on television! If I had known I would never have agreed to it! I will quietly and calmly let the general manager know how I feel otherwise people might think they can just walk all over me. Rant over. If you managed to read this far thank you.

As the late great Bill Shankly said " football isn't a matter of life and death, It is more important than that".

A well-needed rant. Good luck with your calm put-down of the person in question 🙂

Well ranted! Better out than in as they say.

What industry do you work in? As I have had a previous career as a chef, I know that in the hospitality industry people being walked over is common practice. Next time it's worth asking why the person you're potentially covering wants time off. Moreover, I feel your anger because there's no decent teams playing tomorrow ?

No worries....were here to listen. I’m sure you can think up something special in retaliation.

Next time I want to see Coronation Street....! (Only kidding) Yes I will think of something.

Rank hath its privileges.
An unpleasant but inevitable truth.
