I’ve just read that the mayor of the City of Leeuwarden in The Netherlands has taken the decision to fly the Scottish Saltire 
in place of the Union Jack which had to be taken down on Friday. The city displays all the flags of the EU members at the entrance to it’s main railway station. He says he hopes to be welcoming Scotland back into the EU very soon. This gesture has managed to cheer me up no end!

Oh we’re not oppressed...we are equals! The Union of the Crowns 1603 and the Union of the Parliaments 1707 were a marriage of two sovereign countries. The only thing is Boris Johnston and this Tory government has forgotten that fact and are acting like we are a colony of theirs!
