Today as we’re now in the height of summer I thought we’d visit an English Country Garden…first Australian Percy Grainger’s arrangement of an old English folk song performed by BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and then follow it up with US singer Jimmie Rogers’ vocal interpretation which reached #2 in the U.K. charts in 1962.

Preference is not really why I posted both, it was just to demonstrate two entirely different interpretations of an old folk tune.
@Marionville I did not know it was an old folk tune. Please tell me more.
@Marionville Ah, I see, from a Morris Dance tune. That explains Why I knew nothing. I was hardly exposed to M dancers.
