I really love this track and I sing it occasionally on stage. It is part and parcel of my nearly killing love for my 2nd wife. I was suicidal after she left me and it somewhat damaged my highly successful 3rd marriage.

I really like this song Roger…it’s a pity we can’t hear you sing it.

It was sort of a picture of me in 1989 when I met Rachel, who was working at the Quaker hotel in Grasmere. I was tenting high up above Great Langdale. But I did not have a bump on my head! I think she loved the idea of a British Columbian mountain man but ultimately she loved the Lakes more.
