My favourite violinist….David Garrett…born in Aachen Germany and classically trained since childhood…his talent was spotted early and he was enrolled at Lubeck Conservatoire aged only seven. He performed aged eleven for the German President who was so impressed that he presented him with his first Stradivarius violin. After progressing through many awards and distinctions to Royal College of Music in London at seventeen, he eventually moved to New York and the Juilliard School where he was the first pupil to study under Itzhak Perlman. He hasn’t restricted his playing to only classical music and has also had much success in the Classical/Crossover genre too. However today we’re sticking with the classical and - Paganini Caprice #24
….P.S. they made a movie about Paganini in 2013 called The Devil’s Violonist and cast David Garrett in the role of Paganini!

Yes…I think he’s rather wonderful all round! 
he makes the violin scream not sing. How much better would it sound played on a Stratavaries?
