Yesterday’s post by Roger made me think of Hungary, and that in turn reminded me of this performance of Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody #2 which I think is quite amazing for the dexterity of the pianist…talk about flying fingers and playing totally by touch and memory…and above all she seems to be enjoying herself!
Franz Liszt was Hungary’s most famous, most prolific, and most influential classical composer, virtuoso pianist, conductor and teacher, with a diverse body of work which spanned more than six decades from the early 1830s until his death in 1886. Now for the pianist…Valentina Lisitsa is Ukrainian born and is now based in America.

Great fingering! Scrumptious!

Her fingers are lovely! Longer than mine. Need them for Liszt

Very much…I’m quite envious of them.

AMAZING! (and she's doing that with two hands/different notes.)
