HIMEKAMI - EMBURI . For those who might be interested in Japanese Taiko like @dede18, @altschmerz, and @Marionville, the Japanese new-age group Himekami with "Enburi" which is a is a folk local performing art for the prayer for spring including parade, dancing and music.
My main problem with this kind of music is it’s repetitiveness....it doesn’t really appeal to me I’m afraid. I appears to me to be music composed and performed by a machine...no soul to it. Sorry if that sounds harsh...I’m just not connecting to it!
No problem, not all music is for everyone. This is a modern style of electronic Taiko, but the traditional would be even more repetitive, you can't get much of a melody from a Taiko group but if you get into it, you'll find the soul . The same goes for Trance, House, Latin salsa and other genres that serve a specific purpose, I think.
Beautiful mountain. Not rounded by glaciers. Music slightly reminds me of Kitaro ... but it has been 30 years or so since I heard them. Surprising hearing the Maori type shouts.
I love Kitaro!
@Merseyman1 For me it was a stepping stone as were Hawkwind. I'd met Pink Floyd at university in 1966 and reaal they were the start for me though I quit buying them in '74. My joy in non classical gradually formed itself around New Age and I downloaded masses of that.
