China has been selling fake honey for years now. It's surprisingly very difficult to detect. The best plan is but buy the real thing from local farmers.

@Gooniesnvrdie , actually, it is usually labelled 100% pure honey. There was a very good documentary on the topic on Netflix last year. I'll post a link if I find it.
