The Delta variant seems more contagious but far less deadly with less severe symptoms. A difference of 1.9% fatality (old variant) to 0.3% for Delta, a six fold decrease going by current available data.
It is not uncommon for viruses to mutate into something more contagious but less deadly. So why not highlight this in our media? Seems that the fear/ anxiety/ angst must be maintained at all costs to ensure the new "normal".
