COVID-19 and its present variant Delta are with us for all time now, UNLESS Science and Genetics get down and dirty and discover its hidden and latent weakness/weaknesses inside its genomes.
Until that time I'm more than expecting that we WILL be needing to take specific precautionary and preventative measures to lessen the degree/s that COVID and any variants have in the future.
Just a with Measles, Chickenpox, and many other diseases Human kind puffed out its chest and boasted "We have these diseases beaten, are we NOT Great."
Sorry, but we do NOT have them beaten, they simply lay dormant, waiting until we arrogantly drop our guard and THEN come in with everything they have got, Upper cuts, Hooks and K.O. punches all together.

Strangely I found the report to be encouraging even though it proves how stupid & ineffective Morrison's aspirations & goals are - eg. "However, Australia's threshold is actually lower because it is based on the population aged over 16. Singapore's threshold is based on the total population" and "The island state reluctantly delayed reopening measures and re-imposed some restrictions last week after seeing its highest daily COVID-19 infections in more than a year."
