ahhh, good thought.

@Rugglesby they tend to have gone up in price lately. Particularly as religions lose congregations and revenues. Maintenance can be a problem (God will look after us - the local Uniting have recently had the floor start to crumble under their feet - very volatile land round here with huge movement - I think some blame it on me and the parish secretary asked me to remove her email address from my contacts!)

@Rugglesby There can also be problems with heating, cooling and lighting to say nothing of resigning the interiors if they have high ceilings. I know of a Catholic church about 100 kilometres away that looks more like a red brick cathedral. It has an additional problem of having a priest buried in the yard! Former parishioners can get ugly particularly about family donations like leadlight windows, plaques, altars and carved statues.
