Getting big! The second one was brought to me by the same client who brought me the first. She's pretty sure they're from the same nest. I'm not keen on returning invasive species to the wild but I think that's what's going to happen with these two.

@Insectra I'm sure we have some invasives here. Not sure what they are. We, humans, are the ultimate invasives. Guess we need to learn to put up with the lesser invasives.

Here in Thailand there are many local species of myna and starling, including the common myna, which is many ways resembles the European Starling in behavior, and the way they use human buildings and dumpsters as places to nest and feed.
Here, the locals often catch starling fledglings and raise them as talking cage pets. It's legal to so with European starlings in the US also, since they are an invasive species, and they make intelligent, if messy, pets.

@Insectra, don't be sorry, please. so the europeans are invading america (again!), & the indians take over australia - classic!

@FrayedBear, yes, they are now in byron after having left hamburg - similar to me.
@Insectra farmers complain of wheat & vegies losses. They are like flying mice.
@FrayedBear haha! we used to call the pigeons "rats of the air".
