Look at it as points earned. I started in this nonsense (business) in 1956 and my collection of rejection slips and nasty letters from acquisitions eds far exceeds my acceptance notes. They are what holds down my house here at the beginning of tornado alley. Without them I'd probably be living in Oklahoma or farther east.

Thank you everyone. Its been a weird day for me and it was just unexpected . (a toynbee tile was torn up today too. Which is significant for me. Just a shitty day all around.) I am sincerely expressing gratitude for everyone's words though. I appreciate the truth. I know its just another place in which my writing does not fit. And if i eliminate all the places it doesn't, i'll find the place for my work.

i would wallpaper my walls with mine, except they've long since been misplaced, so many times have i moved. but not to fear: i think i can now wallpaper my whole house with hipaa medical privacy notices!
