Biden Picks Raytheon Board Member To Lead The US War Machine
The mass media are reporting that the Biden camp has selected former general Lloyd J. Austin III to be the next secretary of defense, assuaging fears among antiwar activists that the position would go to bloodthirsty psychopath Michele Flournoy as commonly predicted.
I'm not quite sure where to go with this. I'd suggest that maybe the thought of so many voicing opposition to a female war hawk wasn't going to fly in the face of dissenting minds as a means of diverse change that it might have caused this decision, but then a black elite with as many conflicts of interest and mirrored record of supporting the same disastrous foreign policies who actually engaged in them doesn't either. As I mentioned yesterday while correlating this issue, the mirroring effect of the Trump administration, Austin also provides another example of that reflection when it comes to confirmation. He'll need a congressional waiver to be confirmed. The second time now in 4 years one was needed. In other words. He's not leaving a position making millions without an agenda going into the Pentagon where he'll be supposedly making substantially less. These people support a cruel idealism towards empire, not patriotism.
