I'm not quite sure where to go with this. I'd suggest that maybe the thought of so many voicing opposition to a female war hawk wasn't going to fly in the face of dissenting minds as a means of diverse change that it might have caused this decision, but then a black elite with as many conflicts of interest and mirrored record of supporting the same disastrous foreign policies who actually engaged in them doesn't either. As I mentioned yesterday while correlating this issue, the mirroring effect of the Trump administration, Austin also provides another example of that reflection when it comes to confirmation.
