I see Macron starting to make some concessions and taking part of the blame. This is a stranger situation but I find myself taking the view of the writer of the article on this mess. It appears that people are starting to wake up. Similar things may spread to other nations.
Here is one problem in interpretation. Everyone assumes that "a political statement" is being made. No, no, no! That is the problem. This is not about politics really. It is all about "bad politics."
