That would depend if the bee is ok with that.
@Wildgreens The honey here is local and the keeper is a friend. Nothing artificial on this island but, unfortunately the weather affects how often the bees go out. It has been a wet cool summer so the amount is small.

Either way is the bees honey 
not the humans. The honey belongs to the bees, is their food not ours. Humans take it from them.
@Wildgreens True but many apiarists add something for the bees to live on. Also, there's the issue of swarming and the bees will fight when their hives get overpopulated (kind of like humans). My uncle was a state Apiarist for Maryland and I learned a lot about this industry. Yes, I am aware of justifying but some honey production is not as bad as others.
