Definition of veganism:
Veganism is a philosophy and
way of living which seeks to exclude—
as far as is possible and practicable—
all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty
to, animals for food, clothing or any
other purpose; and by extension,
promotes the development and use of
animal-free alternatives for the benefit
of animals, humans and the environment.
In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly
or partly from animals."

This is interesting, I expect the vegan community must be up in arms over the clothing industry. It said nearly all cloths from China have been created using slave labor. The same labor that is being used for organ harvesting. A majority of these people only committed the crime of being falun gong practitioners.

If vegetarians only eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat?

It is a very noble-sounding philosophy, but it's one I will never be able to follow. Taken to its logical conclusion, it leads to Jainism, not even picking a living plant and limiting the number of steps one takes so as to minimize the tiny insects one might accidentally kill. At what point does respect and reverence for life also recognize that all life lives by something else either directly or indirectly dying?
