“I want an avowed atheist in the White House. When time comes to push that button, I want whoever's making the decision to understand that once it's pushed, it's over. Finito. They're not gonna have lunch with Jesus. Won't be deflowering 72 virgins on the great shag carpet of eternity, or reincarnated as a cow. I want someone making that decision who believes life on this Earth isn't just a dress rehearsal for something better -- but the only shot we get.”

The idea of an avowed atheist in the White House will probably preclude nuclear war, won't it? Can you ever imagine such a scenario? No...we'll have some religious nit wit, claiming GAWD is on our side. Again. Sigh.

There are fundamentalists who see nuclear armageddon as the fulfilment of the End Times, the same folks who cheered Trump's declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and a, supposed precursor to the reappearance of Christ on earth.

@moNOtheist Yep...and they're more than happy to take all of us along with them...on their flight to glory. Uh, huh!

Excellent thought. Military organizations throughout the world have chaplains to brainwash soldiers into thinking that if they die for their country they will go on to an afterlife in paradise. It is the big fraud.
