It seems to me that these age label distinctions are mostly irreverent categories used to make social, economic, and emotional distinctions that are very rare helpful in any meaningful way. I think a more fruitful discussion would focus on the society influences that directly influence any generation. I’m Sorry you have such strong negative feelings toward the so-called Baby Boomer generation. It is worth considering all that this group has been affected by WWII, the emerging industrial great society programs including social security. And let us not forget the significant affect this group had throughout the emergent social movements of the 60s and 70’s; voting rights, fair housing, civil rights we all influenced by this group. Of course this is not an exhaustive list, but this age group was a driving force for the emerging industrial success that sparked decades of growth and change.
