Warning: rant-type post ahead!
I was taking Miss P out for her final constitutional last night when this car pulls up and this young girl gets out. At first I think it's a friend of my land lord's daughter, so I decide to watch for a bit, since I didn't recognize the car nor the girl. She and the driver have this lengthy convo. Now mind you, the driver is parked RIGHT IN IN FRONT OF A CLEARLY MARKED "NO-PARKING" SIGN! After about about five five minutes she stands up and walks off past my land's house down the street. I'm on my way to the the car to inform them that this is a private driveway, when the driver pulls out and drives away. Now, this sort of this makes my landlord (and me) really annoyed. If he finds you parked in his parking area? Oh, you WILL be towed! (Unless you are my guest.) It's marked. Do people drive up in other people driveways, do business, park randomly, etc? But b/c we live right across from the Barter and also across from a church, folks just seem to think they can use his place as their own. The "No-Parking" signs might as well be written in Cyrillic or Urdu, for all the good they do. People just flat-out ignore them. IT just irks me to no end.

If a driver is actually in the car, under the law it is Not parked, merely "standing".
