What is your passion?

There’s lots of things I’m passionate about but I had a thought the other day. I teach ESL online and I would be really heartbroken if I lost any of my students. I love the fact that I’m helping open doors to their future. I love seeing their smiling faces in class and the look they get when they finally understand something. Classes is so much fun I look forward to getting up at 3am to teach.

Share something your passionate about.

It's hard to say as I am passionate about many things. I think most people are just passionate in general, it's what makes humans amazing. If I had to pick I'd say creation is my greatest passion. Nothing makes me feel quite as elated as to see a design come to fruition.

I wish people would express themselves fully and not repress themselves - because they're too afraid of going against the herd or standing out. It's safe to follow the crowd.

There is great power in knowing English.....
I read about the following a couple of years ago.
Sweden and Japan wanted to negotiate a trade deal. They couldn't find a Swede who spoke Japanese or a Japanese who spoke swede. So they negotiated in English.

Keep on teaching....

Since age 21, I have been a passionate hiker. Hiking is a transcendent, uplifting experience for me. I feel grounded and centered in the mountains.

In my profile I wrote:

"I love hiking to high alpine lakes surrounded by white glaciers and jagged mountain peaks. After dark, I look up and feel awed by the glowing Milky Way and billions of sparkling stars. We all need more low-level ecstasy in our lives."

That sounds amazing

That is great work! How long have you been doing it?

@MoonlitLife About 20 years, in varied settings.

@UUNJ that’s great. It’s awesome that you have been able to do something you love for so long

3 am? You are a trouper! My mom taught ESL and it is important work. Do you have an assortment of languages spoken by the students, or all one language or dialect?

The kids are in China. It’s evening their time early morn in the us. It’s full immersion, like the same way children learn their first language. So I only have to know English.

@Sticks48 that’s amazing that you were able to do that.
English as Second Language

@MoonlitLife That really is awesome. You really do make a difference. You should be proud. I was fortunate to have a very talented brother. We still play 6 or 7 times a month.

Cyber security. In this digital age, we need to know how to protect ourselves from identity theft and getting our mobile devices hacked.

That’s true. That’s definitely something I need to work on
