Anyone else like the movie LUCY, with Scarlet Johansson and Morgan Freeman?

It's one of my favorites. Here's a clip:

Oh yeah... lol...and yummm too.

I really like the way it was shot and the conceptual ideas of it I agree that some of the premises are weak but really enjoyed the movie as a whole.

Right, it's a sci-first movie, fer chrissake, not a documentary.

@Condor5 exactly

I thought that how she became an emotionless robot that smarter she got was silly. So the more intelligent you become the less human you are... Not a fan.

Love that movie. I've watched it a number of times.

Like many movies (like Gravity), if you can manage to disregard/ignore the bad science, it's entertaining.

I don't like Morgan Freeman and I've disliked Scarlet Johansson ever since she got into bed with Israel with her Sodastream adverts.

Haven't seen it. It looked interesting, but I was really annoyed that it perpetuated the whole "we only use 10% of our brains" bullshit. It could have literally used any other macguffin (magic amulet, alien virus, matrix implant, etc) and I would have been ok with it.

I enjoyed it. Movies like Lucy and Limitless where people become smarter, unlock their full potential, and pretty much become superhuman are interesting.

Wonder if Lucy 2 will be made? Supposedly a script has already been completed.

I liked it enough to snag a copy for the dvd collection... and I generally like Besson films.

But it has a very 'Euro' offbeat film feel, with two well known 'American' mainstream film feeling actors dropped in it... and I feel like they are soley for tickets sales, not because they fit the roles.

Every single time I've watched it I wonder if I'd like it more with a main character that didn't make me feel like i was watching it just to oogle her. Then I watch "Fathom", or "Barbarella".

I want some of that blue stuff.

It's a fantastic movie only made better as someone who has taken acid and mushrooms

I couldn't get into it, and I realised why: the premise of it annoyed me — it was just too silly. I love Sci-Fi, but I prefer it to be either potentially 'possible' or so far-out that it doesn't require an explanation, one just has to go with it. But this film lost me when the telekinesis crap showed up without any precedent...

Carrie — yes; Lucy — no.

Maybe I'm too picky?

I love this movie - thanks for reminding me of it - I'm going to see if it's on Netflix.

I liked this film despite the fact that the brain percentage idea has been debunked. It was an engaging story anyway.

took the words right out of my thumbs.. ?
