Most people find that "Look..." preface to be demeaning. It's part of her every comment. Thanks for being a good friend to animals! They all deserve better than we humans have given them in exchange for their amazing benefits to us.
@mtnhome Yes! "Look" is very demeaning. In thinking about it, it's part of what I call "The You Idiot Tone." The tone of voice is implying that the person is an idiot, without actually saying the words. "Look (you idiot)..." My father constantly used this tone of voice, and I'm still very much sensitive to it to this day. Thank you for your kind words about my love of animals. May I return the compliment.
Who are "the smarter people"? Trudeau? Mrs May? Be serious! LOL
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was first in his class at West Point before Harvard Law, and Trump might think that Mike is smarter than he is. And we know that the President greatly admires his Uncle John, the late MIT professor John G. Trump.
