Meet members:

The choices for distance need to be more gradated.

There is a big difference between 100 and 250 miles.

And, between 250 and 500.

Ohferpetessake...meet halfway or don't meet at all!

Rochester looks to be about 1/2 way. Maybe we both drive about 6 hours.

Where ya wanna have coffee?

@Jacar I have an RV, can stop & nap anywhere, so no biggie for me...you?

@AnneWimsey how can we be an 81% match and be so far apart?

@Jacar we are in some ways a match, i guess, but i do not "do" open marriages, or whatever thing you seem to have because of the fact that women my age are, and have been for a decade, the fastest-growing HIV-positive demographic in tbe country.
I do not believe the algorithm figures in distances OR believes I can swim to New Zealand.....

@AnneWimsey some too personal responses required for public view.

Suffice it, to write: "As with other women who have commented so, I say,' You have cliches and stereotypes interfering with your too-quick non-conscious assessments.

"'Especially given our ages, and consequently our understanding, of what is possible. And our sadness at not filling what days we have had with whatever may have created a happy memory.

"'Think of what you really expect to be part of your future. And what you do not. And how much time you will waste, mostly doing nothing. Every second provides us with memory, or remembrance. Hope,,despair, joy, sadness?

"'Read my profile with an openness to the words i have used.'"

And::: i am sure, with much support, you swimming to Z land will be a great reality show. However many episodes actually are actually aired.

@Jacar an HIM positive diagnosis has very little to do with "stereoytpes".
I cared for my Brother In Law as he died of AIDS, 6'2", 83 lbs.
Pollinating like an oblivious bee? Keep away from me!

@AnneWimsey Sorry to know about another who had to experience such pain. We are in the arts and dance communities. We know many who suffered directly and by way of support. People we knew, and many we admired.

Yet: I am saddened you have concluded as you have without understanding. Would you feel better if i told you she is dying?

You have deduced incorrectly with inadequately interpreted information. Not a positive skill.

@Jacar if you told meshe is dying while you actively seek out other partners, i would feel the need for a shower for just being in contact with you. Regardless of what she says, because you are taking irreplaceable time with her and throwing it away.

@AnneWimsey I am seeking friends to replace the nearly 20 who have died in the past 12 years.

You should not judge a person having such a limited understanding of their circumstances.

In this case, it appears, your moral outrage is interfering with your exploration of other person's realities.
