She was a doll. Much too short a time together. Their only fault is they don't live long enough.
They really take a piece of you with them when they go.

The joy you will feel with another one will help a lot with the pain you now have. I do not think I could live a day without pets. Sometimes you can adopt them on a trial basis.

You should look for a senior dog, they are usually calmer and need love. It's hard to do for the short term, but if you can handle it, it's a beautiful thing.

Yes,go and visit the local Dog pound,they need loving homes and they know of being rescued,yes,separation anxiety for a while,but now you are their food source and care giver.

When our pets pass away,I believe a part of our hearts dies with them.........

I can relate to you on this. Sorry that you did not have longer with your friend. When you feel up to it,perhaps you get a new one? It will not replace the old one but it will give you joy, love and pleasure again. Each one is different.
