Missing my little companion sooooo much. For a long time I didn't like dogs, but dogs were always drawn to me. Someone said they were trying to convert me. Well, this little sweetheart was the one that did. I only got 3-1/2 years with her. I miss her terribly.

She was. She used to find cigarette butts on the ground and trade them for treats, cuz she knew I didn't want her to have them.
@Evogoddess I am sorry for you loss. I have had a lot of dogs and each one rests in a place they built in my heart. Dont be afraid to get another one,Each one will be different but special in their own way

The joy you will feel with another one will help a lot with the pain you now have. I do not think I could live a day without pets. Sometimes you can adopt them on a trial basis.

Yes,go and visit the local Dog pound,they need loving homes and they know of being rescued,yes,separation anxiety for a while,but now you are their food source and care giver.
When our pets pass away,I believe a part of our hearts dies with them.........

I'm too scared. Can't do another heartbreak like this one.
The big dogs started barking at a deer in the yard so she ran up the bed to protect me. Or she was scared. ? either way it's good.
