The propublica audio resonates so strongly with me that it brought me to tears. I couldn't finish the episode of Maddow.
I am so messed up about this that it's sending me down some pretty dark thought-alleys.
Wtf are they doing this for? The most likely answer (and similar to the one that sessions gave) is that it is a stupid, pointless, cruel and callus attempt at deterrence.
What if it isn't? What if they want to have thousands of soldiers that aren't citizens, don't have families, and have been trained since when?
Or another rabbit hole.. what if they simply started arresting Governors who don't go along with a national guard call-out or whose states have an illegal medical marijuana program?
What is it that you think that keeps them from holding onto power in unprecedented ways?

we need to vote and get a democratic congress that can put the brakes on all this mess

Dimple things you can do Right now:
- Donate to the ACLU or similar organizations taking this to the courts
- Program your "representatives" contact info into your phone so you can voice your opinions easily & often
- VOTE! Even better, work for a candidate, or registering new voters. Remember, Not voting is a vote, of acceptance of this horror!
