My sister is replacing he fence. I spent the last few days staining and sealing the wood for tee new fence, while the fence guy did the tear down and set the new posts.

We went with metal posts this time because the main problem with the old fence was that the wood posts rotted at the base. The old fence was about 20 years old.

15 gallons of stain, 50 two by fours and 440 six foot by five ionch fence slats... so far. That is just three sides. On one side the neighbors are moving and we have nto been able to talk to the new neighbors yet, so that side may nto get down for a few weeks.

Robert Frost. "Good fences make good neighbors."

While the fence was down, my sister said she liked the openeess... but also at the same time there have been reports of a cougar in the area eating peole's pets and she loves her cats.
