Nope...I will never date a religious person.

I wish it was like this, but religious people sometime make things so complicated with their beliefs at times. It always goes into them trying to convert me or threatening me in some type of way, which is a major turn off. I can respect a religious person...but it’s not always the case with them, though.

I think thats so true. i tried to be respectful of others beliefs, but they just can't seem to respect the fact that i don't share their views.

Oh I think absolutely, especially if the guy is the atheist. Alot of guys will lie to get what they want, I think far more than women do.

I can't fathom dating an overly religious person. It's not a mindset I can embrace. I've definitely been approached by religious men that want to date me knowing i'm not religious and advocate against religion, so I can't wholeheartedly agree with this statement.

True

Depends on the person. Atheists more likely to be willing? No clue. Personally, I have no interest wasting waste time dating a person who values faith (belief without evidence) over testable facts. so in my case: False.

I have usually found that to be true although I have sometimes been so turned off by a woman's religion as not to pursue them further. But then a month ago a baptist boinked me. It was just meaningless sex. But a baptist? I surprised even myself. Sorry. TMI?

Only on the weekends

True because most religious people need support in their belief. They are not confident enough in their belief to just live and let live, they need reinforcement from their partner. Us other types know it's b.s and don't need anyone to support our belief.

I’d say true. It’s a common theme that we are told that we ‘have’ to respect others religious beliefs, but it’s perfectly ok for others to question our lack of beliefs. I’d say false if it wasn’t so limiting to exclusively date atheists. I just couldn’t date someone who relies on their faith to make ethical decisions or to guide their life.

True, but it's kind of doomed, either she would constantly try to convert me so I don't go to hell, which would put strain on the relationship, or she wouldn't try to convert me, which means she doesn't love me and is ok with me going to hell, and that can't be good....

My current wife of 20 years was a ordain minister of baptism faith she was the one that helped
Me come out of the closet on my atheist belief sooo yes you can make it work but both sides
Have to want it to work.she no longer follows her religion .her choice guess I am a bad influence.

I suppose I would date a passively religious person. I know people who are religious that have no problem with atheists. Although, not many. I would never date a Fundamentalist of any . I also doubt no Fundamentalist would knowingly date an atheist. Considering the Pew Research Center's data on attitudes toward atheists by religious people, I would tend to guess that the answer to your true-false question is probably true

I am an atheist and will not date a religious person. I have no interest in dating someone who cannot figure out that religion is a con job. Same goes for believing in things like astrology or that the universe is a sentient being that wants me to be successful.

I think more atheist would date a Muslim than a Christian. Not based in fact, just an opinion.

Buddist, sorry poor spelling

Anytime someone tells me they're Christian I turn and run the other way. If they are Bhudist I would. Just depends I guess. I've had horrible experiences with evangelical Christian types.

Most of the guys I date are believers.
We just agree to disagree.

I think that may be false. But, it's only my opinion.
