I thought I would post something different today. Nine years ago, I started working for a privately owned software company. They were small, I needed a job, and jobs were scarce. The first several years were absolutely horrible.

Change and success came slowly, and then grew. A few weeks ago, the owner sold to a private equity company for something in the vicinity of $400M.

It was both, horrible and wonderful . I have worked for 40 years and for the first time, I was really proud, we changed an industry. I was really happy for the owner and the people who held shares, they did really well.

Well, now its a new company, a new culture and a new day. It was a heck of a ride.

Thanks for sharing a positive, uplifting message at a time when we seem to be hearing nothing but negative stuff. Its a really nice feeling to see one's efforts and hard work and loyalty bring about a positive effect - for the greater good. Job well done....hope you get a well deserved "vacation".

Hope you benefited from the change.

It's hard to say.. I am in sales and they paid salespeople very well. So I would say I earned what I deserved. Of course now there is a new marshal in town.
