Damaging religions dominate the globe spreading sexism, homophobia, and violence. They are a mental plague far worse than any physical disease. They have been the number one cause of death and destruction on our planet. These restrictive thought systems have caused immense sexual repression which has damaged people’s understanding of unity. Mainstream western religion promotes homophobia, sexism, violence, and intolerance in general. It also censors the individual and impedes growth. It promotes the idea that the individual is flawed, sinful, and powerless, and should submit to a creator god. It promotes a slave-like mindset in which individuals are told to get on their knees to beg for salvation. These belief systems are especially damaging to children as they use conditioning tactics (brainwashing) along with intense psychological fear (such as the concept of hell).
