I feel quite strongly about this, slavery was an evil of the ancient world that was rightly abolished. Of course, nowadays we have various forms of economic slavery.

According to the Bible:

Noah created slavery in the new world, by putting a curse on the entire bloodline of his innnocent grandson, for a sin against Noah that is not clearly stated.

God chose a slave owner, Abraham, to be his #1 servant.

In Leviticus 25:44-46,
Abraham's God told the Jews:

Go into the gentile nations and purchase children from strangers

• Keep them as slaves
• Later, pass them on to your children as an inheritance,
• And they shall keep them Forever.
• And if the slaves are not Jews, they can be treated with " rigour ", or, very harshly.
