Dinner and a movie is a great start, allows you to talk face to face during dinner. You can also tell a lot of a person on how they act in a movie. Do they talk throughout the movie? Do they show interest in the movie if it is one you picked? I person acts a little more natural in a theater it seems.

After that it depends on what we both like to do. I am not going to invite someone camping if they don't like the outdoors or to a play if they don't like theater.

Dinner, preferably sushi or something fun out the ordinary, even something you can share without being creepy. bowling or mini golf is always fun. or maybe just a walk in the park with the dogs. anything that we can talk and get to know each other.

whats a girls idea of a good date?

Escape room games.
Local historical locations with museums and hole-in-the-wall diners.

There's a small bar here that's great for first dates. It's quiet, so you can actually have a conversation. They cover all the bases with caffeinated beverages and brews and mixed drinks (my favorite is the hypnotoad martini). The have a selection of board games you can play and there's a pinball machine in the back. Many opportunities to get to know one another.

Getting laid isn’t a date, but maybe the conclusion of one. Movies, dinner, dancing, strolling, concerts.....

It all depends on my date's comfort level. Hiking is a great date (just pick a trail you've done before). The last time I did this, I discovered my date was way better at it than I was.

More bars are appealing to our age group, so you can often find ones that have classic arcades or even board games.
Other ideas are: Getting coffee and picking funny books to read together, bar hopping downtown and eating different appetizers at each place, karaoke, cooking for her and having a picnic, live comedy shows, concerts in the park, rock climbing, water paddling, a bike ride through the city, ghost tours, take dance lessons or go out dancing, etc.

My favorite has to be cooking something new at home with a little wine, and curling up to a good movie.

Bowling, movies, and dining are great for a first date/first few dates. Once mutual comfort and chemistry have been established, dates can be taken homeward, featuring cooking, board or card games....and perhaps other stuff if the mood is there ????.

Golf. Writing. Painting & computers

Bowling, movies down the line, lunch or dinner. Depends on the person's comparison of interests, sports, literature atmosphere, aesthetic views... Local parks or beaches, I've always loved town events or carnivals

Outdoors with motorsports, a few beers and sunshine

I like cooking a meal with my date. Something we never made before. If the meal turns out well? Add a bottle of wine/ then you get laid. lol
