Mitt liv som hund, Lasse Hallström, 1985. It's perfect in every way.

This just isn't an answerable question. Best movie ever? According to what criteria? And there are so many. And ever?

No Wizard of Oz?

No idea. There are so many movies and I have seen too few of them. Even out of the ones I've seen it's hard to make a comparison in order to select the best one since they can be good in such a variety of ways. Like anyone else - I have my favorites

Apocalyse Now. I thought that was an art form.

My favorite movie of all time. Now that is a question for the ages indeed. Transformers the movie 1986; yes the animated one. That movie will always make me smile. I have many good memories involving that movie; helped shape who I am today. A few others include Howard the Duck, Labyrinth, Never Ending Story, Short Circuit and Hook. So many others, but all can't be my favorite...or can they? XD

Sorry folks but I have to go way lowbrow on this one. Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior.

The best film ever made I believe is Lawrence of Arabia. My favourite film though is, In the Heat of the Night. We had almost the same question a few days ago!

I guess for this question you'd have to throw away the "favorite movie" analysis for "best movie" ever, yes? If so, your vote list should minimum contain Casablanca and Citizen Kane, both of which are in the conversation for best movie ever. I have favorites, but I don't think any of them would or should be in the discussion of best movie ever. I really like Jaws as a film, but no. Godfather, ok, in the conversation. David Lean films, particularly Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago, probably merit discussion. I would submit for this discussion: The Best Years of Our Lives
