The English are like relatives to me When I was there as a GI after WW 2, I thought they would hate me cause I had to wear my army uniform and I remembered that during the war they were overrun by American GI’s who took a lot of their women away from them. I couldn’t have been more surprised when they greeted me with open arms, stopped me on the street to express their appreciation of America and Americans. They offered me their coupon books (they were still rationing food and many other things) and I was overwhelmed by their treatment. Later, when I visited Copenhagen’s wonderful Tivoli Park, a youngster came up to me from a group of people and held out his hand, dropped money into my hand and said to have a good time and turned back to his group. They were English and I headed for them to say thanks and they just motioned to me to go and enjoy. Can you understand why I LOVE the English?
I wanted to see the trump balloon, finally it came t the screen. Hoping it was larger. I wonder if someone in the U.S. could get it, or make one like it. I love the Brittish people for this, not afrais to speak their minds.
They are brats parrotingwhat has been spoon-fed. Listen to their accents. If that doesn't tell you who they are nothing will.
We've got them here too.
Some of their signs were great, and , being Brits, quite witty! Love ya, friends across the pond!
