Well this is a timely posting. I have a sand art festival going on just outside my doorstep this weekend. Their creations are just amazing. I was watching them load the sand piles up on the beach on Thursday in preparation and even the way they pack the sand is calculated. So cool.

It is quite amazing how they can sculpt the sand into such large displays. I’ve seen it quite a few places in European holiday resorts.
