Is there anyone else out there in my age group (60+/-) who never really fell for Christianity but did make the attempt? I didn’t have a particularly religious upbringing. I know from his writings that my father was deeply religious (he died when I was 11). My mother was not. I attended church sporadically. It was only in my adulthood that I made the attempt, particularly after moving to WV in 1982. I could never understand why I couldn’t “get it” while everyone else seemed to. I admit it took me a number of years to realize I didn’t get it because it wasn’t there to get. Just my ramblings. The insomnia monster’s been knocking on my door.

Not really. We went to church till l was 14. Up until then l think we went to church because it fuck you up in your business life if you didn't. I was relieved when we stopped going. I have never had any sense of spirituality of any kind.
