Why don't we call big corporate donations - Bribes? There is an exchange between the donor and political individual or entity what can be accomplished by them to need the financial backing. When votes pass, such as reducing oversights and regulations on financial institution put into place after the 2008 financial crisis, would like if media to report on all voting if yes or no and what corporate bribes were received by each or passed down to them within the system.
All contributions to politicians or their campaigns need to be blind, so that politicians can't make a connection.
That's nuts.
That's a novel and great idea. I think it is doable too.
Exactly.
Unfortunately, the special interests and the politicians seem to have a loophole. They claim the campaign donation comes with no expectation of a quid pro quo.
As you said, we need more information on who gave what and to whom.
I think also that we should have politicians recuse themselves on matters concerning contributors. But the contributors say they need representation for their taxation. It seems to be a catch 22. Politics is dirty.
But if people start voting for those who don't take the money from big corps it will change. Maybe it took a giant asshole in office to transform what is to outrageous to believe but considered normal or shaking things up. I have hope.
@gigihein : Yes. I'm supporting on corporate-backed candidates.
