Do you hate IVRs??? I hate hate hate IVRs, especially after I've spent several minutes making choices only to hear a computer-generated message telling me that my estimated wait time will be more than 10 minutes. Aaaaghhhhh! Please feel free to vent about IVRs.

P.S. On-line isn't much better. I'm still on hold for a chat channel.
Some IVR's aren't what they say they are. I used to work at a company that employed people to listen to phones that were supposed to be IVR. In otherwords, when they computer says "say yes or no" or "say your social security number" there is a person on the line punching the appropriate numbers.
I did not know that - go figure.
What I find scary about that is the company I worked for was a work at home company that essentially anyone can work for. To me that means that anytime you say your social security number/date of birth, you are possibly giving that number to a real person why can use it illegally.
What’s an ivr?
