My advise after living in Panama for nine years until 2015!
Health issues will ruin you because major health insurance is extremely expensive!
Real estate is over priced and the quality of workmanship is almost always sub par!
Also you will always be treated like a walking ATM!
So unless you have deep pockets, and outstanding health you will be overtly surprised how expensive and how hard it is to have anything done to your standards period!

Oh by the way English is not spoken out in other parts of the world as much as one might think!

I'm looking to relocate anyway.
