Wow, I have never heard about this before avian pyromaniacs, I wonder if any of the prairie raptors of North America exhibit similar behaviour or any other living in other climax ecosystems like lodgepole pine forests or the African savanna.

Would be very interesting to find out. Also, just the idea of another species using fire is kind of mind-boggling to contemplate!

@phxbillcee , it is evidence of the capacity to learn and pass on that knowledge to others something I have personally witnessed in ravens and magpies.
