What a stupid jackass, and he calls himself a progressive, haha so much for progress. The scary part is there are plenty of other clowns like him from the liberal left who are influencing our politics. I wouldn't trust a dude like him around children. Then again, I shouldn't be too surprised, Tillemann actually believes gun control measures (the typical measures most Democrats support) work, and you have to be living in some sort of utopian dreamworld if you believe criminals obey gun control laws.

#SignsOnlyWorkWithViolenceBehindThem

Rules are made to assist those whose common sense is lacking. Criminals do not obey laws or rules but they aren't made for them. Rather they are made for the silly gun owner who keeps his weapons in open sight with his 3 year old son. No one needs a magazine that holds 100 rounds. The laws should be written by reasonable gun owners and not those who fears a gun in any form.I am a liberal Democrat who has been shooting for 60 years and never has seen the need to kill an animal. It isn't unreasonable to license only those who pass a weapons test or even a health review. Those with domestic violence should have their privalidge to own a weapon denied.Laws like these make common sense.

Getting back to the second sentence in your comment, criminals do not obey laws. There are plenty of folks out there who have committed domestic violence and still found a way to obtain firearms regardless of any laws saying they were barred from ownership. Said laws may appear to be common sense at first glance, but do very little if no one pays attention to them, especially those with criminal tendencies. If you think no one needs a 100 round magazine, then that should apply to everyone across the board including those in government, but you and I both know those in positions of power are not going to give theirs up anytime soon. There are alot of things in this country that could be considered excess and that of which people do not need, but they have it all the same anyway. This is supposed to be the land of the free, it's really no one else's business what I own, and one of the reasons I do not like the Democrat Party as they are the party who goes crazy with regulations. The point of this post was to get people to realize that alot of those within the Democrat Party are corrupt (and stupid apparently in the case above) just like the Republicans you fear.

Dude, you can chop a tree with 100 rounds and a machine gun. That’s a use/need right there if you have enough trees to worry about, or if you collect replica weaponry as a hobby. Or are military and like to keep armed as a means of coping with your PTSD by feeling safe in ‘war’ scenarios (without endangering others).

@SpikeTalon Hi there, We agree on many of the things you state but differ on regulations. We would not have had the 2008 recession if the regulations put in place would have been there at the time and now these have been revoked to open us up to another round. The banking industry has long been an industry that pushes their ability to make a profit often placing the economy at risk. Same goes for the hedge fund managers. When Obama had to bail them out or choose to let millions of average investors loose everything he was critised. However the economic boom he started and which trump like to tke credit for came from regulatons. Just one other example and I rest my case. The approval to allow mining and coal refuse to be stored or dumped into rivers, lakes streams that supply drinking water to millions cannot be supported by any means. These pits are not lined with clay because of cost and they stand above drinking water aquafers or next to them. These regulations are needed. I agree some are stupid but these are not and are not being enforced to appeal to these corporations. Have a nice day.
