Maybe plants are farming us, giving us oxygen until eventually we decompose and they can consume us.

Could be I will have to consult my basil plant about this it could just be waiting for me to die. Oh, wait if I die so, does it since I am the only one watering it.

@davtim68 , I do eat it regularly but, it does not seem to mind as it just keeps growing so, I can eat more of it.
