Anyone here into magic mushromoms??☻??????
I've been looking into low dose for depression.. But don't want to trip balls as schizophrenia is prevalent in my genes. Feel like that could make them be even more expressed..
Micheal Pollan's latest book could be of interest to you.

He tends to do extensive journalistic research on the subjects he chooses.
mushromoms? better lay off the mushromoms.
What a brilliant subject for a sci-fi B-movie: "MUSHROMOMS FROM THE Nth DIMENSION! They're here to BLOW YOUR MIND!"
I would be into them, if I could find them.
depending where you live but ideally go where the cows roam in the fall.
@Lukian Thanks, but I do not think we have roaming cows.
@Spinliesel you can actually purchase growing kits online.
@CrazyQuilter I know how to cultivate mushrooms already from media. I just need someone to ID one candidate in the wild and I can propagate it from there.
@CrazyQuilter Psilocybe cubensis does not grow in Québec.
@CrazyQuilter there are about 8 species that do grow... just need an expert.
Not good for the brain, risk of permanent psychosis. No thanks.
actually psilocybins are the safest drugs. Far safer than alcohol and opioid prescription drugs
@Denker although there are many studies (particularly recently) here is one example: [theguardian.com]
excerpt: He also highlighted that seeking emergency medical treatment means different things for different drugs. With a drug such as heroin, a trip to the emergency room is a life-or-death situation requiring resuscitation and medication. With LSD or mushrooms, there is no toxicity and the effects wear after a few hours.
“There is no known lethal dose for LSD or pure psilocybin,” he said.

“People don’t tend to abuse psychedelics, they don’t get dependent, they don’t rot every organ from head to toe, and many would cite their impact upon their life as profound and positive. But you need to know how to use them.”
You could have research this yourself quite easily....
Some recent studies on it being used to treat cigarette addiction with up to 80% success rates. Also, research for depression shows some people, after receiving a psilocibin treatment, had long-term improvement in the depression symptoms.
That said, psychedelics are POWERFUL chemicals and should never be used in accordance with a history of mental health issues. Esp. dissociative/delusional ones.
