Do you know how hard it is to wash your left armpit when you can't use your right hand??

Yes. Good thing I'm left-handed. It helps to have a good sense of humor.

In one bad fall, I broke my right index finger and wrist, and got a painful SLAP tear in my right shoulder. Had my right arm and hand in a cast for eight weeks.

Three years later, my right arm was in a brace for nine weeks after shoulder surgery.

Friends helped me bake pies for Thanksgiving.

With no dishwasher, I gleefully created a "one-handed dish washing tornado."

You can see the pain in my eyes in this post-surgery photo.

Oh, how painful! I found most things can be done one-handed with varying degrees of success, but some things, like pie baking, work best with 2 hands.
