Here is a point where most opponents to Universal Healthcare do not recognize or consider. If one eliminates the annual cost for health insurance we now pay and put that into a universal health program, the net wage would be about the same. We can also have a supplement program for universal healthcare as they do in Canada and in the US for Medicare today. That way many of the insurance company jobs would remain. I figure that Part B cost me about $125 a month and my supplement (with dental) cost about $59. My health insurance before I went on Medicare was $200 a month, so I am saving money.
