As Little (9) and I were walking to the park yesterday afternoon, he started a conversation about HP Lovecraft. Yes, Lovecraft! His dad has a book of Lovecraft's collected stories at home, and apparently he bought a card game based on the the Cthulhu lore, called Lost in R'yleh. He wanted to know how to pronounce R'yleh, and also wanted to debate the proper pronunciation of Cthulhu. Can't say how proud I am of this little dude. He's so cool, and so hungry for knowledge. I love that he can go with ease from Mad Magazine to Call of Cthulhu. Raise literate kids, y'all!

There's debate even among Lovecraft scholars regarding how to pronounce R'yleh, Cthulhu, and Nyarlathotep.

Both of my daughters were introduced to D&D by your truly, and now in their mid and late twenties still play. They each have like ten sets of dice> I created monsters.
